This week we took the time to remember those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
But let’s not forget that there was a time that every man, woman and child helped the war effort by sacrificing everyday things that helped make sure that every soldier had things they needed to fight for said freedom.
Yesterday I had the honor of holding a piece of history. It was a friend of mine’s family WW2 ration books. If you never heard of war ration books I urge you to take the time to look at the photos I took yesterday and read more about them here.
I assure you that the men, women and children that had to use those ration books were also heroes and deserve your respect. Having to live and sacrifice through those really tough times here at home when loved ones were overseas in a war that consumed the whole world really made a difference.
So remember on every Memorial and Veterans Day that…there is no “I” in a team. Because a team is what we were back then. And that is how we won WW2.
