Shoulda Coulda Woulda And Don’t Look Back

Sometimes we do things that others can’t understand.  Things that might seem weird, out of character or even stupid through the eyes of those who know us a little more than the average Joe. But there comes a time in every persons life when you must take a chance and make a change for what you feel is for the betterment of your own well being and or personal sanity in the long run.

The first hard part is being able to realize in real time that a new course is presenting itself to you so that you can do the second hardest part. The part where you must be brave and take a step into the unknown.  But the second step is only hard because we make it hard.  We get so comfortable with the way things are that we are afraid to try the unknown because we don’t believe in ourselves enough to think things will get any better. We are afraid of undoing our so called present comfortable situation with possible new uncomfortable ones.  And who needs new failures when you are comfortable with the present ones right?  WRONG!

I took one of those steps just recently.  I don’t know where I am going but I am enjoying the new ride a hell of a lot better than the just sitting still with the comfortable part of the old journey.  I know I will fail and fall a few times before I get to where I am supposed to be but……It is when we fall that we learn to pick ourselves back up.  The past will always be there for me to enjoy in my thoughts and I still have what really matters in the end, my real friends.

But what the hell do I know, right………
